beautiful fractal, but the rendering could be better... i bet it'd look great if you tried in chaotica

How high was the quality when you rendered?

Hey Molly . I rendered this one at 5000, mainly to make up for not being able to render large (I've got an old computer).

I am amazed by the details so I was curious if it required ridiculous quality. 5000 is really reasonable.

one of the best fractals i've ever seen, so much chaos and self-similarity, swirls and spirals... plus really great colouring!
top-notch work

There is a legend about a golden blossom appearing in fern every one night in a year, and who finds it can find unbelievable treasures. Or something similar, I don't remember the exact myth.
But this piece reminds me of it. Golden fern and hidden treasures...
I love the richness of colours and shapes.

The colours are fantastic, I love the forms and patterns. I would love to see this composed a little differently, because I think the big black area across the lower section is a bit too disruptive of the design. Great work though.

Thank you Trystian . I'll see what I can do with the display of the plane, and maybe upload a new image to scraps. Getting rid of the black area will probably involve changing the horizontal flow, but it will make it more homogeneous which could be more appealing.

I changed the composition a little here . The size of the black region isn't much different, but its positioning is (and the rest of the picture is slightly more homogenous). There are some other ways to change it too if it needs it .

Fantastic colour combination, although I may have been tempted to intensify the fiery middles just a tad
