Description
My Sinnott Baliador resin. I had originally painted him a perlino dun, but in flourescent light he was ORANGE. So I did some research and decided to paint him a Pearl Cremello. Andalusians and Lusitanos can carry a color gene known as Pearla which gives a metallic or pearlescent sheen to some colors. It seems most noticeable in the dilute colors.Related content

I love your gallery. Your horses are so wonderful. I am just getting into this hobby and trying to track down a Pat Sinnott Hey Mule. I can't even find his website! Did you purchase your resins at shows or through a gallery?

In this lighting he looks kinda like an albino.
He is really pretty though!

Akhal-tekes have the pearl as well, I've seen some that look positively metallic.

You can get them fairly cheaply if you frequent thrift stores. They are usually only body quality, but perfect for painting!

Wow... I don't know HOW you do it, but it's beautiful. One question: Can the paint come off?? Or is it permanent?

Its permanent (mostly, it CAN be stripped off with lots of work). It is not a plaything, but an art piece. To learn more about model horses and the hobby surrounding them go to [link] or [link]

Acrylic mostly, the shading and pinking is done with pastels.
