Description Some older pages from my sketchbooks. Most pages aren't nearly as cute as this one though. X-D I have to get REALLY absorbed into drawing and studying in order to forget all distractions and technical concerns and let ideas flow so naturally, and I'm often too nervous or moody for it to happen.

The title was a little bit pervy (), but the content in this one was very educating for me. It's cute too (). Nice work.

Yes, I was in a weird humor mood when I sketched it. X-D Thank you!

A great tutorial and most helpful, actually for many birds. And I just love how the bluch increases throughout, so cute!

The idea of asking her to get naked is almost as wonderful as the study itself. How did you came up with it?

Given the date of the drawing I was probably derped by overworking. X-D But the fact is after looking through millions of animal and human photos for drawing studies I actually feel like I'm looking at a nude model when I look at a beautiful animal photo. What's the difference if the purpose of looking is the same? It may be a confusing frame of mind but leads to interesting results. X-D

(I mean "millions" quite literally: through time I have collected about 16.000 animal photos and 6.000 anatomical schemes and such, most of them carefully selected for being of anatomical interest, and that's only the photos I actually saved, not even counting documentaries and books. In fact I'm beginning to have serious troubles keeping all the files sorted...)

I would be fascinated looking through such a sketchbook! Notes and thorough anatomical studies offer an idea of how much thought is put into the artwork in general.

I love to write down observations on animals like these, but it's a bit frustrating because some pages of my sketchbooks look better and more original than most of my finished images. X-D A lot of pages are just mangled doodles though. Some of the "good" pages can be seen in the archives of my blog:

It's great being able to get a look at the whole creative process, especially the birth and development of ideas that might never make it into the final product I'll be following your blog!

Aww. Love the blush. Wonder if other birds would feel awkward about this?
