Description Here we are at the end of the month which also happens to be the spookiest. And this month, like any other month, I got a TON of stuff to add to both my CD and movie collections. Before I do anything involving all the CDs I picked up since the last update here are the tapes (and the disc) I picked up in that time. Let's begin.

BIG RED VHS
I finally have a pure Neon Mickey title in my collection. No, not like that "Mary Poppins" edition with a typical clamshell. This one is one of those with embedded artwork sort of like a binder, what you would see in the early 1980's. The FBI warnings this tape has are much different than the red FBI warnings you'd see on titles later in the 80's. This is the variant of that which features the red FBI warning followed by the blue "Licensed for private home exhibition" screen, then the original variant of the Neon Mickey bumper that had Walt's signature and an off center logo positioning. Nice stuff. Found this gem at Spindle for only $2.00 because they have now set up a VHS display. Nothing like the thrill of the hunt.

A TIGER WALKS VHS
Another semi Neon Mickey title but this time it's the familiar clamshell packaging. No Neon Mickey logo here. Instead, you get the red FBI warning screens that served as a prototype to the green and blue ones, then trailers for "Sleeping Beauty" and "Flight Of The Navigator". Then, we get the video dealer thing and then, surprisingly, the Sorcerer Mickey Walt Disney Home Video ident. Very interesting opening, would have to put it up on YouTube when I get the chance. Also a Spindle pickup.

BEAUTY AND THE BEAST: THE ENCHANTED CHRISTMAS VHS
Because Christmas is coming, I opted to get this title at Savers as well as two other titles down below. This is a DTV sequel to "Beauty And The Beast" obviously. Have never seen it but I would like to see it. Hey, at least I didn't get "Belle's Magical World" which I heard was awful.

CHIP AND DALE RESCUE RANGERS: DANGER RANGERS VHS
This is one of my favorite shows and I wanted to get a VHS of it for a while. And low and behold I found this, which I believe contains a measly two episodes. But hey, anything works for me.

THE VELVETEEN RABBIT VHS
Here is something sort of interesting. This is a made for TV film that aired on ABC (I assume) in the mid 80s or so. Saw this on YouTube and liked it although it isn't expertly animated or anything like that. I didn't expect this tape to be that version because they made SEVERAL variations of this story. It was common to do so with stories like these around this time. Popped it in, and recognized some scenes, and was delighted to see that this was that version. Pretty cool.

TAPE CLEANING SYSTEM
Not exactly a collection piece per se but my video heads were experiencing some trouble while playing back the three tapes mentioned above. At one point, a message even showed up on my TV screen stating that the heads needed to be cleaned and that a head cleaning tape would be a priority. I talked my mother into buying me one, came early the following week and fixed the problem. So, now, we have clean VHS viewing once again in the Scamp4553 studios.

MAD MAX: FURY ROAD DVD
Found this at Wal-Mart for a staggering $3.75 and it was in a bin of movies at that price at the front. Was looking for "Surf's Up" in that bin but didn't find it, but I did come across this. I have heard SO much praise about this film and it looked quite interesting to me but I never saw it. Now that I own it, I'll probably check it out via my DVD player to see if I enjoy it.

That's all for this time. Stay tuned because tomorrow, we will be putting up the CD update. Take care, everybody.
