Description Seventh in my series of teams based on a meme by N0-oB213 - Be it said, I do not claim ownership of any of these characters or the component images used in this fan collage.

It can be surprisingly difficult to find characters in cartoons and comics who are predictably not idiotic, neurotic, or otherwise incapable or unreliable in one way or another. Here, I've attempted to pull together a team of characters who are all competent, adults in the context of their time/place/race, on whom you could actually depend to have your back and to do what needs to be done, as well as - be it said - who are rilly cool!

And So, Forthwith, the Team Members --

Captain Barnacles, Polar Bear, from The Octonauts: The very rare character who actually leads/coordinates a meaningfully-sized team with disparate talents and characters while showing competence, flair, and moderation. He also rocks the accordion.

Horton, Elephant, Dr. Seuss: He means what he says and he says what he means, and he's strong enough both physically and emotionally to pull it off. Never. Gives. Up.

Spock, Vulcan, Star Trek The Animated Series: Really, what needs to be said? He's Spock!

Bruce Wayne, Human, Batman: He's rich, generous, and of course comes as a package deal.

Patricia, Platypus, Spliced: Here dressed as her OC Marzipan Meadows the Adventurer. She has a sense of humour but won't damage other people. She can also repair your car.

Gandalf, Wizard, The Hobbit/Lord of the Rings: A guy who knows which end is up and where the bodies are buried, and can swing a staff in one hand and a longsword in the other while riding a horse.

Perry, Platypus, Phineas and Ferb: "He doesn't do much," but he's cute, loyal, and - as with Wayne - comes as a package deal.

Peso, Penguin, The Octonauts: He can bandage/splint anything in a flash, fix whatever else is wrong with you, and he doesn't make bad decisions or go out of his way to cause trouble.

Mr. White, Ghost, Ruby Gloom: He gives great advice to younger folks, especially on matters related to The Family. Also good for judging contests, and cooking excellent Italian food.

Ferb Fletcher, Human, Phineas and Ferb (Act Your Age): Is there anything this guy couldn't build? I doubt it.

Marvin, Robot, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005): Okay, he's a real bummer, but he's got a "brain the size of a planet," and can and will do whatever he's told to do.

Batman, Human Superhero, Batman (the authentic one, from before they started trying to pretend he's some kind of mumbling whacko): "Duh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh, Batman!" And he comes as a package deal with a really rich guy.

Sylvia, Zbornak, Wander Over Yonder: Tough, honest, feisty, fast, nobody's fool, and carries her own bubble wand.

Haku (a.k.a. Nigihayami Kohaku Nushi), River Spirit, Spirited Away: He's a Dragon, He's a Wizard, He's a Nice Guy.

Lady Eboshi Gozen, Human, Princess Mononoke: Could also be in the Team Leader position. Smart, tough, determined, respectful and resourceful as a leader, technically minded, and highly skilled with both guns and swords.

Perry, Platyborg, Phineas and Ferb (2nd Dimension): Bad or Good, he's extremely capable. Comes as a package deal with Pet Perry.

Monkey, Monkey Superhero, Dexter's Laboratory: He's strong and creative, and can win even after every other superhero in his world has lost. Another one who never, ever gives up.

Rosebud, Human, Camp Lakebottom: Not much of a cook, but a fantastic fighter with any weapons or none, and a dedicated and moral friend.

Rita, Anthropomorphic Rat, Flushed Away: Some may call her "Ice Cold Rita," but when she makes a deal, she makes a deal. Excellent pilot and mechanic.

Asterix, Human, Asterix the Gaul: He's got that whole invulnerability thing going, and brings a cheery disposition and an ability to overcome chaos brought by others without being nasty.

Hazel, Rabbit, Watership Down: Even for someone with four rabbit feet, this guy not only makes good choices but brings fantastic luck both to himself and those around him.

Wendy Corduroy, Human, Gravity Falls: If you're going to have a fourteen year old on your team, this is the one you want.

Miyamoto Usagi, Anthropomorphic Rabbit, Usagi Yojimbo: He doesn't want to kill, but can defeat almost unlimited enemies when necessary. Another Nice Guy, too, but not a fool.

Mr. White, Ghost, Ruby Gloom: As with his associate Mr. White, an excellent advisor and support for any group.

Porco Rosso (a.k.a. Marco), Anthropomorphic Pig, Porco Rosso: Superb pilot, honest and loyal man, and able to slug it out at length when he feels it necessary.
