Seriously, people. Stop it.Why should you care if people slash characters? If people make crack pairings? If people make fan-characters?
WHY DO YOU CAAAARE?
If you don't like it, don't read it or look at it! Don't make yourself the messiah of the show/movie/game/book/whatever. Because you're not.

I think some people extremely seriosly because:
1. they themselves write/draw/are-fans-of (for fun) and don't like the negative image that comes from those people, or two:
2. They write/draw with a passion, and honestly feel worried that people would do that sort of thing to characters within their own drawings/stories; like a connection, that they are worried these fan-pairing-types might ruin. Though they won't.
or,
3. They just don't like poorly made/drawn/written fan-characters.
I don't know, that's just my best guess.

i kind get what you mean, i know sometmes i get annoyed when a cool character gets taken out of a show, only gets bad when people riot over it. on the game runescape, dont know if you play it, they took out the main pvp location and there was riots everywhere over something that wasnt important. differant case scenario like, but still same concepts
