Description
Idea is mine, though based on the Tournament of Mortals.It's a battle of West and East, fought with mighty magic!
Albus Dumbledore: The Headmaster of Hogwarts School For Witchcraft and Wizardry, and the modern day Merlin of Great Britain. With a knack for transfiguration and possessing the Elder Wand, few can best Albus in a magical duel.
Reimu Hakurei: The Greatest Shrine Maiden to date, and Guardian of the Border between this world and the Supernatural Realm. Reimu is a genius with spell cards and a master of amulets, being able to best even the strongest supernatural beasts.
Now these two very different schools of magic will clash in a battle of epic proportions! Can the Modern Merlin best the Shrine Maiden? Will Spell Cards be canceled out by the Elder Wand? In the end, only one magic user can walk away, and that person will be--
THE DEADLIEST MORTAL!
Finally, in a classic 'To the Victor Goes the Spoils', after you pick a winner, pick something for them to take from the loser. It may be something as simple as a piece of equipment, to something as complex as a power. I'm just curious what you all would say.

Danmaku is non-lethal. That's why it exists within Touhou lore.
So humans and yokai could be on a level playing field.

No, what I'm saying is that when you remove spell card rules, I'm pretty sure danmaku becomes lethal.

Pft, this hardly even a match. Reimu in an epic curbstomp that leaves Dumbledore a fine red paste on the ground.Β Dumbledore isn't even that powerful by Touhou-verse standards, and would probably get trashed by Cirno . . .Β
Seriously though, reasoning for his loss:
Reimu's a more adept fighter than he is, and has a more powerful set of attacks. Her barriers will nullify anything besides Avada Kedavra, which she can dodge with ease. Remember, she invented and regularly does Spell Battles, which involve dodging literally hundreds of projectiles at you from all directions. Sometimes the bullets will appear in point blank range and she can still avoid them *coughSakuyacough* so there goes the idea of D teleporting the Avada Kedavering her, assuming he even uses it in the first place, which is probably his only hope. Also, her teleportation method is faster and more efficient than Dumbledores in a fight, seeing as she is not disoriented, and seeing as she can literally chain these teleportations.
And then she brings out Fantasy Heaven. GG, good game, bye.

I would choose Reimu Hakurei because she's a shrine maiden. Even though she can get very greedy and stuff, She can still take Dumbledore down with her Fantasy Heaven.

Not quite as obvious a conclusion as, say...Sakuya Izayoi versus Walter C. Dornez (Sakuya wins, by the way. Battle would still be awesome). How much of a fight Reimu puts up depends on if she still has to adhere to the Spell Card Rules, and if Dumbledore is willing to use the Unforgivable Curses...

Like some said, Reimu would probably win without the Unforgivable Curses. She has experience dodging thousands of bullets (and you have to hit her torso for the hit to count). Dumbledore cannot lob that many. Keep in mind that a good portion of Harry Potter offensive spells are basically concentrated beams from the wand (none like Master Spark). The projectile-based ones would basically all be thrown straight at her or led. Reimu would eventually win...

what advantages would these two fighters have over another

Albus has better Pre-Battle, Specific Spells / Misc. Spells, and takes the Mental, Preparation, and Energy Potential X-Factors
Reimu has better Long Range, Close Range, The Fantasy Heaven Technique, and takes the Physical and Psychological X-Factors.
They tie in Mid Range and Defense
Conclusion: Hard to say. Tie?

In this case Reimu has the upper hand. Though the magic in Harry Potter forces an action rather than cause Damage (making instantaneous Mind Control or Death possible), Reimu would be able to dodge most anything Dumbledore throws at her.
And I doubt even Dumbledore could spam Protago (the shield charm, which lasts only a second I think) long enough to survive a few rounds of Spellcards, so...

Fair enough, I'd believe that as a reason for her to win; though I honestly like Dumbledore as a character more. Also, I think the Protago charm lasts as long as the user pours power and concentration into it.
And it could be worse... Reimu could have taken his lemon drops!

Advantage goes to Touhou here. They have experience with dodging projectiles.... SCREENFUL, projectiles. A death spell from Voldemort would either be repelled or dodged. I respect Dumbledore, but this win goes to Reimu, and her oh so needles, ofudas, and powerful balls. Yin yang orbs I mean

She is a Shrine Guardian from something called Touhou Project. Apparently she is quite powerful (though one of the last to be inducted into the Tournament).
