Description
Idea is mine, though based on the Tournament of Mortals.Only one of the of these guys made it to Round 2; but the battle isn't over for the God Killer Kratos just yet! This battle features two warriors known for their bloodthirsty nature and lack of mercy.
Kratos: This mortal has risen to godhood by slaying the god of war. Then, he compounded that feat by killing every other god on Olympus. Known for his temper, Kratos is a walking bloodbath waiting to happen.
Arthas: Once a noble knight, Arthas has almost completely blackened his soul, with a heart as cold as his icy throne. He has embraced the title of Lich King, and now leads his army of undead abominations across the world seeking to enslave all life.
So, when these two murderous killing machines encounter each other, who will come away alive? Will Kratos become the new master of the Frostmourne blade? Or will Arthas steal the soul of the Olympian Killer? Blades will cross, magic will be tested, and souls will be put on the line! For only one can claim the title--
THE DEADLIEST MORTAL!
Finally, in a classic 'To the Victor Goes the Spoils', after you pick a winner, pick something for them to take from the loser. It may be something as simple as a piece of equipment, to something as complex as a power. I'm just curious what you all would say.
(Disclaimer: Just to be clear, these two combatants were created / are owned by people far more creative / wealthier then me. I have made this, not for profit, but in the hopes of encouraging spirited discussion among fans. Please support the combatants official series. Thank you, that is all).
EDIT: Turns out I was wrong about Arthas not making it to round 2. Oops. Sorry, I'm only human, and I've changed it.

Kratos defeated Hades, the God of Death, so I think he would win this match up.

Arthas at least 9/10.
While Kratos is physically stronger, more skilled, has more experience and is a bit faster (not enough to speed-blitz), I think he can't survive the "Fury of Frostmourne". Even if he can, Arthas will continue to use his magic against a weakened and injured opponent. Kratos could defeat his Zeus, but Zeus was a pushover and did not possess anything close to Lich King's magic.

You are all avoiding the fact that frostmourne means 1 hit 1 kill since it EATS FUCKING SOULS, and can't be wielded by Kratos because it would eat his soul for just picking it up just like it did to arthas who now is fused with Ner zhul a ancient orc who has alot of knowlage and has the ability to summon his legions and his main soldiers EX Kel'thuzad,Sindragosa and ofc his many and i mean MANY death knights ,Crypt lords and lich's and ofc Kratos can kill them but can he kill an enemy that keeps coming back?

As much as I prefer Arthas over Kratos I can't deny how powerful Kratos really is.
While Arthas could summon legions of undead... I'm pretty sure Kratos has defeated more than one army.Β And a group of adventures put Arhas Down.

Kratos wins. Hades tried to steal his soul and failed. loads of experience fighting undead. and he has the blade of olympus. and when he does win, Frostmourne will be added to his magical arsenal of weapons

I'd give the edge to Kratos for his speed advantage.

Arthas. Able to summon legions of undead, including foot soldiers, Frost Wyrms, Abominations, and has necromancers and lich (think Kael'Thuzad) at his disposal. Even if Kratos got past all of that, Arthas would use Frostmourne on him and keep his soul. If the likes of Tirion and Darion can't fight him alone, what chance does Kratos have?

Kratos has better Close Range, Offensive Magical Relics, Physical X-Factor.
Alduin has better Pre-Battle, Long Range, Mid Range, Soul Draining Spells / Minor Powers, Defense, and takes the Mental, Preparation, Psychological and Energy Potential X-Factors.
Conclusion: Arthas Wins

Personally, I think they would compare stories, become best friends, and spend their off days ripping the skulls out of people who mildly annoy them.
If they actually fought though... Arthas, if only because he is more versatile and can keep a cooler head.

What if Kratos has all the weapons from each of his games with him at the time of battle?

arthas stomped pretty hard actually, and hes one of the most powerful non faster than light planet busters, along with aizen and kerrigan. If this fight ever happened, kratos would get WRECKED pretty hard

It's weird though, how you an look at a lot of online debates about Kratos, and how many people will bend over backwards to convince you he's the most amazingly unbeatable warrior ever.

ive seen arguments with kratos beating thor -_-
In the tournament setting, kratos can probably beat azula and maybe galen marek. he is slightly outmatched by batman, alduin, aang, dumbledore(can block most spells) and maybe palpatine. Everyone else clearly outclasses him. His head of helios might give him a chance against estacado, if he can even get that close.
eldrad would see every attack and tear him apart. Aizen would have way too much fun here. the doctor could easily outsmart him. HULK SMASH. Arthas would also have fun with kratos. i see kratos as making it past the armies, but he isnt going to over come arthas' armor. His blade of olympus could kill almost everyone in the tournament, but the chances of him making it past their defenses and offenses is very unlikely.

Yeah, even without seeing Thor's profile, I'm not buy he could take Thor. God killing tendencies aside, Thor's a cut above any boss in the GOW franchise. I think maybe Kratos' fans just get a little over enthusiastic.
Kratos has decent defense and his close range is great, but his long range SUCKS!
Is it just me, or is Azula, by comparison to a lot (if not all) the other warriors... the weakest member or this Tournament?
I'd actually like to see him take on the Hulk. Those are some angry dudes, and the Hulk is kinda like a troll or some other monster Kratos would fight. The only difference being Hulk can still think, and would probably do to him what he did to Loki. Maybe.

azula is by far the weakest member of the tournament, and physically she can compete against 1, maybe 2 people and it would be fair. putting her in the same leagues as thor, goku, aizen and the doctor was a mistake. the only thing that got her in here was her psych warfare, but without a solid offense or defense that mental aspect doesn't mean much.
Kratos vs hulk would be interesting, in fact ive often played out that scenario in my head often, and i personally see hulk just being too powerful to get harmed by anything short of the blade of olympus.
