Description A request done for

Aizen: A former Soul Reaper captain, Aizen is a madman with vast ambition. He will sacrifice anyone and everything in his desire to ascend to true godhood, overthrowing the spirit king and taking his place. His zanpakuto possess powerful hypnotic abilities, he is a master of kido (shinigami magic), and also possess the hogyoku, a mystical object that responds to his thoughts to aid him in battle.

Malefor: Also known as the Dark Master, Malefor is a murder of millions and a sadistic dragon of unfathomable power. He is able to control the elements, inject fear into his enemies, poison the land around him, and corrupt all with his dark and terrible nature. Malefor believes that what he does must be done: To purify the world by destroying it, so that a better one can take its place.

Now, these two beings, each believing that the only way to save the world is to destroy it utterly, who care nothing for those around them, even those that might call them comrades, will face each other on the field of battle. Will the former captain be able to bring down this ancient dragon, or will he soon find himself crushed under claw? And can Malefor hope to do what Soul Society could not and kill Aizen, or will he find himself burned away like most who face down this Soul Reaper? In the end, only one can walk away from the battle, so I ask you, dear viewer...

WHO! IS! DEADLIEST!

(Disclaimer: Just to be clear, these two combatants were created / are owned by people far more creative / wealthier then me. I have made this, not for profit, but in the hopes of encouraging spirited discussion among fans. Please support the combatants official series. Thank you, that is all).

Agreed. As of shown in the anime, he bested the Head Captain himself, Yamamoto, and all the other Soul Reapers because of his Zanpaktou.

Then again to add to my statement, Malefor actually succeeded in his job

He did mean to destroy the world to purify it, and by manipulating the Destroyer in DotD, he did manage it

Even after Spyro and Cynder 'killed' it, Malefor continued to control it's body

And RIGHT after they defeated Malefor, the Destroyer completed it's trip around the world and the ring of fire was complete- which destroyed the world.

And the purifying in destruction? Spyro repaired the world using his Dragon Spirit power after the spirit of Ignitus told him what happens when a dragon dies.

Therefore- even though Malefor died, what he set out to do DID happen. The world was destroyed by his manipulation of the Destroyer and it was purified when Spyro repaired it.

What I'm getting from these comment is that Aizen's arrogance got the better of him and he failed at his task.

Yes but personally I think that Kubo just forgot about Aizen's powers (Bleach is such a good yet wasted story) and wanted to wrap up the Aizen Arc as fast as possible. Hell we didn't even see him use Bankai.

Probably because Malefor is a Spyro villain.

if the dragon looks at Aizen's Shiki [not sure if I spelled that right] the dragon atomaticaly looses because Aizen can us his Zanpakuto to manipulate all the scences of the opponent(s) if they have looked at his Shiki at least once [ever]

Wouldn't say Aizen is as powerful as he thinks he is, since in the end he though he was the strongest to ever live and was god compared to al others. By the the end though, he got completely dominated. His arrogance was his downfall.

Β Personally, I'm rooting for Aizen, especially if we're talking about him after he absorbed the Hougyoku, which essentially granted him true immortality. Even without Hougyoku, Aizen had monstrous powers, greater than practically any Shinigami (with the exception of Yamamoto and his Bankai). The power of his Zanpakutou could be compared to Sharingan illusions - you think you are fighting him, you deal him a lethal blow, but it's either an illusionary clone, or you strike down your own ally. He is also a master of manipulation, making everyone belief in his words until it's too late to act.

I don't know how powerful is this Malefor dragon, but there is so much more to Aizen than sheer power.
