Whoa this is a swell pic of Uni! The light in her eyes makes her look so hopeful and kind. I see that you're practicing with a strong light source and, as far as I know, you're heading in the right direction! Remember to make the shadows darker in such lighting situations as this - one extreme white light in a pitch black room creates a looooot of contrast between the light and shadowy parts of a person.
