Ruby POV

After everything that had happened at Beacon, lots of people went back to their families to assure that they were okay. Because of that, teams were left missing many or all of their members, causing the ones who stayed to form new teams. I was in a five man team of Jaune, Ren, Nora, and Y/n, who was the leader forming; (first initial)RNJR. My crush since coming here was the leader of our team and I was a little more than ecstatic, since Ozpin said to me that he can help me control my new powers, saying Y/n was a ‘kindred soul’. Is he a silver-eyed warrior too? He must be wearing contacts then and doesn’t want to show it. I see him come to the rest of us back from Ozpin’s office, most likely with a new mission as he stuffed his hands in his pants pockets.

Y/n: We’re following a trail that I had placed on a guy some time ago who might be involved with the Grimm getting into Beacon and being an instigator for that kind of stuff. A crazy guy, so watch out for each other.

I guess it’s somewhat good to know that Y/n was always the same, even what happened to Pyrrha. Y/n never lets things get to him, no matter how sad or tragic, because he always needs to be that pillar of support people can cry on his shoulder whenever they need to.

~Timeskip~

We arrived at a part of town that seemed barren as Y/n led us with seemingly no assistance. We continued walking until Y/n shoved me out of the way and I see a large guy appear in front of him colored blue and purple as he caught a stinger from behind.

Y/n: I knew I’d find you somewhere.

Scorpion faunas: Your mother isn’t going to be very happy when I tell her you’re alive and working for the enemy Y/n.

Wait, how does he know Y/n? I also thought Y/n told me he was an orphan, but this guy says he has a mom? Has Y/n been lying to me this entire time? No, Ruby! Don’t believe this guy!

Y/n: My ‘mother’ can go fuck herself.

???: Then, we’ll tell her that.

I see Y/n turn his head to be met with a punch and the force of the punch was strong enough to push him back and send him tumbling back, the blue guy disappeared and I got grabbed and placed in a chokehold by another guy who had a well-groomed moustache. Y/n got up and ran with the blue guy behind him about to throw a punch until the guy holding pointed a gun to my head.

Moustache guy: Ah ah ah…you wouldn’t want her blood on your hands too don’t you? Killing members of the same family just isn’t your style Y/n.

Ruby: Same family? Then…

Y/n killed my mom?! No…he couldn’t have…

Moustache guy: Now Y/n, I’m willing to let them all go, but if you so much as move a muscle or if Hazel hears a heartbeat, they all die. *leans into Ruby’s ear* Watch closely.

I looked upon Y/n and see him having a hard time not moving and he was shaking about as the Hazel guy pressed his large hand on the spot where Y/n’s heart is and so far, he hasn’t turned around. Was that blue guy the one holding his heart in place?

Scorpion faunas: C’mon Y/n! Show your true self amongst your friends! Do you not want to survive?

I see that Y/n’s skin then turns a sickly pale white with black veins appearing all over and his eyes became black and (e/c). His hair also went through a notable shift, becoming white in the process as he was still grinding his teeth together, still in pain from probably keeping his heart still.

Jaune: You’re a Grimm?!

Moustached guy: Not just any Grimm…he possess the tools that can end the Maidens themselves; Star Platinum and…

Y/n: ZA WARUDO! TOKI WO TOMARE!

Y/n POV

One second has passed…

The World punched straight through Hazel, leaving a gaping hole where his heart should be.

Y/n: You’re already dead and you don’t even know it.

Two seconds have passed…

I walked up to Tyrion and ripped his tail out from his socket and The World wrapped it around his neck, stinger going through his throat.

Three seconds have passed…

I ripped off Arthur’s arm that held Ruby near him and moved Ruby away.

And now, time has resumed.

Ruby POV

I was suddenly freed from out of nowhere as I see the guy who had gotten up close get set flying forward and the scorpion faunas, his tail wrapped around his neck, suffocating him as blood poured out where his tail used to be as the guy who held me backed away from Y/n, as he approached my taker, returned to normal as the blue guy, probably Star Platinum, appeared beside him.

Arthur: That’s right Y/n! Kill me! Kill me like you killed the others! Be your true self once more!

Y/n:…No. I gave up that life a long time ago. I may not be able to find forgiveness within Ruby for killing her mom, but I sure as hell know I can live with the scars I inflicted upon myself. Scars that run deeper than the skin ever show, mental scars that won’t go away. *adjusts cap* But, I feel like I can make them easier to live with if I erase the people who made me who I am! STAND POWER! STAR PLATINUM!

After he sent the guy who held me captive far away, I slowly walked up to him and hugged him from behind, thinking he needed one.

Ruby: Y/n…do you want to talk about it?

Y/n: *walks out of Ruby’s hug* It’s a life I’d like to repress…

~Timeskip~

During the nighttime, I could hear the wood creaking inside our dorm room, so the person was already inside and didn’t care who he bothered, signaled by me and he seemed to be near me, since I felt a weight shift on my bed.

???: It’s a shame you aren’t awake, but then again, I don’t think I can bring myself to talk to you about this face-to-face.

Y/n? Is he…leaving?

Y/n: *runs fingers through Ruby’s hair* Every time I look at you, I can see her staring back at me, as if she was saying ‘don’t touch her’. I never felt…guilty about killing someone before, but your mom made me. I can’t bear to be in the same room with you Ruby and it hurts because…because I love you. Ever since I saw you on that day you exploded before the world went to shit. Goodbye Ruby…

I felt his lips on my forehead as the tears started to form and the creaking of the wood started to get faint and then I heard the creaking of the door and the closing of it. I then quickly and quietly got up and ran after him and he didn’t make it far when I spotted him and ran up and hugged him again.

Y/n: You were awake the whole time?

Ruby: Yes! I heard everything Y/n…I can’t have you leave me too.

Y/n: But…I killed your mom.

Ruby: I got over that…please Y/n…I love you too.

I didn’t get an answer and he instead walked back in the direction of the dorm, but he stopped when he reached the door.

Y/n: When do you want to go out?

Ruby: Um…any day is fine with me.

Y/n:…Cool.

~Reverse Time!~

Ruby: Good job Ruby, welcome to Beacon Academy…

???: Get up you.

I looked up from Ground Zero of where I literally exploded on my first day to see a guy dressed in all black, except for his shirt, which was (f/c) and I fell in love at the sight of him.

???: Are you challenged?

Ruby: Wha-what? *gets up and dusts herself off* I’m not challenged…whatever that means.

???: Aren’t you a bit too young to be here?

Ruby: I was personally told to come here by the headmaster.

I saw him take one of his hands out of his pocket and stick it out towards me and I shook it.

Y/n: I’m Y/n L/n. How about you?

Ruby: Ruby, Ruby Rose.

Y/n: Too wordy, I’ll stick with Rubes. We should get to the auditorium before the good seats are taken.
