EDIT 7/29/12: You know how when you look at the list of people who have faved the picture, it fits 100 people on 1 page? I've always wanted to turn that page, and now I can! 112 favorites! Whoo! I finally started reading it!!!!!! My gosh, IT'S SOOOOOO FREAKING GOOD!!!!!!!!
I really missed the old characters, especially Toph, Zuko, and Mai. They were so awesome!!!! I especially laughed when Toph licked Katara's hand That's my earthbender!
And then, like, :SPOILER: Zuko told Aang that if he ever started to act like his father that Aang would kill him :SPOILER OVER: and I was like "What you say?!" And then Aang promised to do it and then I got the gist of the title The Promise. But, like, in The Legend of Korra Katara and Zuko are the only ones still alive, soooo.......
Yeah, I'm pretty darn positive Aang doesn't kill Zuko.
But besides that, SO MUCH FUDGING KATAANG. I'm reading this and then they start calling each other "sweetie" and this is my face ---> TOO CUTE. I mean, I used to freaking LOVE Zutara, but after reading this I think I might just switch teams... THE S. S. KATAANG HAS SET SAIL!!! WHOOOOOO!!!!!!!
Aaaaaaaaanyway, the one part I don't like about it is the fight scenes. They're so lame! I really think this should be animated. It would make it a helluva lot better. Like, sequel to A: TLA, but prequel to LoK.... whatever. I think you get what I mean.
So yeah, MUST GO READ PART TWOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ew. I still can't stand Kataang. Katara calling Aang sweetie makes me want to hurl. She just sounds so...motherly and yet they're dating!!! Still caught a glimps of Taang though!!! XD

You are right, Aang won't kill Zuko. We know this because of the first few minutes of LOK when it explains how the United Republic was founded (the Fire Nation colonies). It says that Aang built it with the help of his friends and Firelord Zuko : )
