LOL I actually consider myself an aspiring artist too since I haven't made it big yet
As for some advice, I think you definitely have to stay persistent with your art and try to draw everyday. You have to get through all the bad stuff before you can start producing the polished and refined work. You should check out some of my old work from middle school: [link]
I'm always studying comics to see how some artist go about drawing certain things like cars and buildings. I also always use a lot of reference material. If I want to see how to draw something like a gun for example, I usually go to google images and find a pic that will help me out. I also use those "How To..." books about making comics, they usually have some really good advice in there. Check out this book, it's a good one: [link]
Anyway, I think that's the best advice I can think of at the moment, hope that helps a little. If you have any specific questions let me know.
