Missing - Chapter 5

Josh's POV

I woke up to hear my mother on the phone. She sounded serious, I stood in the kitchen watching her talk. She mostly just said 'Yes' and 'I see'. After about 5 minutes of that, she hung up.

"Who was that?" I asked. "It was the police. A man called today, he said there was a man living in the condemed house downtown. He has a boy with him. He gave descriptions of both of them. They think the boy may be Apollo."

I nearly fell over. "THEY KNOW WHERE HE IS!!!!" I yelled, almost to happy. "They said it MAY be him. I shouldnt have told you. What happens if it isnt him." I thought for a moment. Its true. But god I hope its him.

Later that day, we got a call again. The police had searched the house. Someone had been living there, but they were gone now. They must have known that someone had called the police.

The man said he drove a van. A white van, with rust spots, as well as black paint down one side.

The police made an announcement saying that if anyone saw this van, take its licance plate number, and call the police.

We got a call a few hours later saying someone had seen the van at a hardware store in the next city over. So the police, my mom, and I were going to find it.
