Been a while since I've done some new character concept. This is my first time drawing May and for a first pass, I'm satisfied enough. Having a character drawn is better than having no depiction whatsoever.

May is one of the older residents of Aspen Village, originally from Mossrock, and the local tailoress, buying and selling rolls of cloth as well as making all sorts of garments for anyone with enough coin and patience. She is quite skilled at her profession but has yet to take on any apprentices, not wanting to be bothered by young ones.

Personality-wise, May is a prude. She is very refined, conservative, and prefers to be more formal than casual. Her dislike for for profanity, scandalous outfits, and more amorous activities is well know to the folk of Aspen Village, especially the younger ones. Fussy and often nit-picking, she can get on the nerves of others just as easily as others can get on her nerves. She manages stress very well but can't stand the sight of blood, gore and violence. There is one exception however with blood and that comes from her other profession.

Along with owning a clothing shop in Aspen Village, May is also considered the village mid-wife, having helped birth most of the younger generation, including Juna. May isn't thought to have any biological children of her own and often avoids the subject. Some villagers suspect she might have children but has disowned them, others suspect miscarriages, while some believe May is simply too much of a prude to engage in the acts of love making, even for the sake of starting a family.

May is married to Cornelius Autumntail and thus has his family name. Despite having the name "Autumntail" May and her husband and Juna as well claim no relation to each other. Juna was adopted into the family at a young age by will of her husband. Marriage-wise, May and Cornelius prefer to keep their marriage low-key and live in separate houses for the most part. Her maiden name is Sunbrook.

In the winter months, May often leaves Relma entirely on vacation for warmer climates. Otherwise, she ends up cloistering herself in her shop/house and prefers to have as little company as possible due to letting the cold air in. The cold will often irritate her budding arthritis.

Despite being a prude and having some harsh opinions on the lives and hobbies of some folk, especially Juna and the tavern goers, May is ultimately kind-hearted and doesn't let her opinions get in the way of her doing a good deed...well, not too much.

I think that's about as much as I will reveal for now. I'll let the comic do the rest. May will probably come into the comic around the end of the first story-arc, around maybe chapter 7 or 8 depending on how the story goes.
