This is an entry for 's contest, Making a Godzilla enemy. I was inspired by 's sauropod Kaiju, though I tried to make her different.

Name- Iriz Ima

Height- 70 Meters (at the head)

Length- 100 Meters

Weight- 100,000 Tons

Origin- Hidden deep in the jungles of Africa, this giant sauropod species has evolved and changed unseen for millions of years. One of the last, Iriz Ima is a fairly gentle creature, unless it is threatened. Then it uses its massive size and sharp spikes to defend its self viciously.

Powers-Massive size and weight to throw around. Whip-like tail able to knock down even the biggest Kaiju. Thick, sharp spikes on wrists, toes and head can inflict horrific wounds, as can the tusks in the front of the mouth. Can rear up on back legs to slam front feet into an enemy.

Unfortunatly very slow due to size, hard for it to get up if knocked over.

WOW! Awesome kaiju! Do you think I can use her for my Godzilla reboot? That'll mean I'll have to change the sauropod from male to female, lol. Cuz I originally had it male, but we need more females anyway.

Far and away, one of the best sauropod monsters I've yet seen.
It's simple, but it's distinct. No unnecessary ranged weapons or anything. Just one solid, pure T&C fighter. And it WORKS.

Personally, I can't stand living artillery monsters. More often than not, they're nothing more or less than a list of five or six completely unrelated, but ultimately similar beams or blasts, with maybe one or two melee weapons or special defenses.
They're boring to hear about and even more boring to watch.
I think that if a character has a special power, it should be a power first, and an attack second, if an attack at all. And it should stick to a particular theme. Which is one reason I love pure T&C fighters so much. They have a theme and they stick to it, plus they're hella fun to watch.

Mokele-Mbembe I believe. The dinos look so fake compared to today's movies especially after Jurassic Park, but it was a charming and touching movie.
