Added 7/20/07Fafnir is my lindworm character. I just love him, but ironically, I don't draw him very much.
Also, I can't figure out if I like the way the Black and White scan makes it look, or if the Color setting is better.
Oh, well.

When I first saw the name I was thinking it was the Dragon from Norse mythology by the same name. But a lindworm is cool to.

He's black, with red stripes all the way down his back, and a red "V" that goes right under his horn, and the horn and claws are grey.
The eyes and all the fur, and the webs of his wings are red, too.

I'll say. "Fluffy?" Yeah...a fuzzy-wuzzy, scythe-taloned, lance-horned, anaconda-coiled murder machine. This guy is simultaneously elegant & fearsome, and easily warrants one or two more illustrations.
One stupid question: are his wings purely for display, or does he actually fly?

He 'flies' but the wings are only for ballance. He's more like an Eastern dragon, both in flight methods and personallity.
He get's a little pissy when I call him 'Fluffy,' too.

Very interesting dragon design, and if I might say so, the black and white is a great decision, but that is just my preference. As always, your body work is perfect and unblemished, and the pose is wonderful as well. Great job!

Thank you! I've always liked black and white, mostly, better than color. Lindworms are some of my favorite dragons, they have such a neat body structure!
