The Hidebehind is a big beast, walking upon it's hind legs and stalking lone humans in the woods. No matter how fast you turn around to see if there is something following you, the Hidebehind will always move fast enough to hide behind you again. The body seems to blur even if you do catch a glimpse, so most people dismiss it as a trick of the light.
It can go seven years without eating, but when it does wish to feed, it closes in behind a person and laughs as it disembowels them, eating only the intestines. This is how you know the victim was killed by a Hidebehind.

Fortunately, it can not stand the smell of alcohol. A drunk is safer in the woods where a Hidebehind lurks than a sober man.
