Added 9/19/07Another drawing of Kir, this time breathing her green fire.
Like I said before, I had made a race of cat-like dragons in High-School, and they were split into White, Black, Green, Blue and Red sub-species, like D&D. Unlike D&D, however, they all had the same breath-weapon: Fire.
The color of the fire was the difference between individuals. It was determined by the color of the eyes, which glowed as they used the fire.
The thing that seperated the sub-species was mostly the bodyshape and color.
I put way to much thought into this stuff....

Ahh, no problem! I think their mouths are resistant to fire, though....if it wasen't, they'd get some nasty burns!

Nice design (great batwing structure), interesting main color scheme, and especially neat hue for the breath weapon...green flames are too nifty.
One question: are these dragons especially resistant or outright immune to their own fire? Because whatever this one's zorching seems uncomfortably close to its own right wing. Just a thought.

Thanks! I know the fire's a bit close, but that wasn't on purpose....
I started coloring the fire before the dragon was inked in, so I couldn't fix it by the time I finally noticed how close it was.
So, I'll just say it's magical fire, and it should explain it.....

My original dragon had purple eyes, but I switched to green because thats my real eye color.
