Well, yeah. When i first heard that all the books will be non-canon from now on (after anounsing of Episode VIII) i was sooooo disapointed. I really liked Thrawn in the book series. He was great successor of Grand Moff Tarkin and looked pretty well (the General in new films is... meh... you know)
And Ysalamiri are awesome ofc, its a good tool to shut up all that Jedi's tricks, the only counter-part that actually can help to defeat force-user... But no, non-canon, bye-bye books D:

Same here since there was so many games and novels I loved . The EU had so many cool characters in it . ( honestly I’d rather want Thrawn being a big villain in The First Order rather than Hux and I’d love to see how he would be with Kylo Ren knowing he is the grandson of Darth Vader )
