Description
has been organising get well gifts for and because GH-MoNGo is obsessed with dwarves they are all dwarves and I can't draw dwarves but it seems I can. While typing the I can't draw dwarves response on the journal I suddenly got the inspiration for this. There are less scales than normal but the dragon is too small, it would have looked wrong and yay! The dwarf worked!
What happens when a dwarf meets a dragon, well obviously its a war about treasure and these two just can't seem to find a winner so its come down to the traditional stare contest, First to blink looses all the treasure!
I have to admit I don't actually know who GH-MoNGo is or what he does for us but it was fun to draw and I do hope he gets well soon.

Thank you! That dragon was too small for scales, he'd have looked too busy I think.

Go dragon! I love dragons, he will definitely win. What a cute picture, cute idea. I like treasure. The dragon and dwarf are good looking, of course I prefer the dragon.

i love the dwarf. (of course i love the dragon, also, but that is always loved)
ha. the idea was brilliant!
the dragon appears to be getting a bit sleepy, or his eyes are getting a bit dry. i still say he will win..
(i would invent a dwarven song for this one, yet... i really can't sing, and most dwarven songs are about gold. not staring. so, it really would'nt be a dwarven song. it would be some girl singing awfully badly about some staring contest between two imaginary creatures. and no-one wants that.)

I actually like the no-scales look on the dragon; it gives it an interesting leathery-skin type of texture.
Nice work! : )

I must say the dragon will be the winner. If not he may end up eating the dwarf either way lol

Thank you!
Limited colouring?
May I suggest you get yourself a colour wheel (from google search) that tells you all the complimentary and contrasting colours and then start practising shading shapes like spheres, cones, cylinders and cubes/cuboids. To do this pick the point the light will come from and mark it on the paper then extend lines from it to see where it hits and shade from that begining with the hole shape lightly coloured and adding layers of heavier shading on top.
Also to get a darker shading don't use black on colours, use purple.
In actual fact I mucked up this one, I started on the dwarf and shaded most of him as though the light were coming from the front and then did the dragon the way I always do dragons as though the light were coming from the front of it too but fortunately the dwarf was easy to fix.

The colour exactly opposit is perfect for accessories or eyes because it will make the colours look even brighter whereas as the colours beside the segements will blend well.
