Description
Impressive is a ooak (one of a kind) kirin sculpture. He was made from polymer clay over a wire and foil armature, and painted in acrylics. He has brown resin eyes, and his hair is tibetan lamb fur. He stands about 8 inches tall to the top of his antlers, and 4.5 inches tall from chest to bum.Impressive was a commission, and a fun one too; I haven't done many dark kirins and I had been wanting to do a coppery coloured one for a while. He has more deer-like anatomy, and the taller, slimmer look was a big of a change from the last few goat-shaped ones I've done. The commissioner lives close enough to me that I could deliver him in person, which was also a neat experience. I was quite sad to see him go!
If you are interested in a commission check out my website here: [link] sculptures start at $200.

This is by far one of my favorite sculptures I've seen you do...I absolutely love the coloring and the choice of the white fur, and the neck fluff, beard, and tail fluff are so perfect, aaah! This is really beautiful, fantastic job!

He is a joy indeed!
I would like to commission something from you, although I have already requested for one. I think both of you are superb sculptors, and if I get one from her, I HAVE to get one from you, too!
I haven't decided what, yet, so I'll let you know in a couple of months.

Thank you! The scales were done with Golden brand gold acrylic, then antiqued with a dark brown. So I sealed the gold and then used some watered down brown and painted over the gold and wiped away the excess with a paper towel, leaving the brown in the crevices of the scales.
