The Pierce County station is located in Samson, Aurora State. It is home to Engine Nine One, Engine Nine Two, Engine Nine Three, Engine Nine Four, Dozer Nine Five, Dozer Nine Six, Dozer Nine Seven, Chase Nine Eight, Chase Nine Nine, Chase Nine Ten, Module Nine Eleven, Module Nine Twelve, Module Nine Thirteen, Battalion Nine, and Division Three. Module Nine Eleven, Module Nine Twelve, and Module Nine Thirteen make up the Module Three task force, which brings equipment for hand crews formed out of both state and local resources. Battalion Nine oversees all units assigned to Pierce County, and Pierce County falls under Division Three. Division Three oversees all units assigned to Battalion Eight, Battalion Nine, and Battalion Ten.Engine Nine One (Shops # FR2004) Engine Nine One is staffed by up to: 1 Fire Apparatus Engineer (EMT/Paramedic), 1 Captain (EMT/Paramedic), and 2 FF/EMTs and/or FF/Paramedics. Total normal staffing: 4 and maintains a First Responder response level. Engine Nine One is set up with two hosebeds: one with 700' of 2 1/2" supply/attack hose, and the other with 1000' of 1 3/4" attack hose.. In addition to it's hosebeds, Engine Nine One also carries one 25' segments of 2 1/2" supply/attack hose, two 5' segments of 3" hard suction hose, three 150' progressive hose packs of 1" wildland attack hose, five 50' rolls of 1" forestry attack hose, and one 50' preconnected 1 3/4" protection line.
