FDNY Engine Company Seven is located in the Tribeca area of Manhattan at 100 Duane St, New York, NY 10007. Nicknamed "Magnificent Seven", the station is home to Engine Seven, Tower Ladder One, and Battalion One. This engine was one of the first units to respond to the Word Trade Center on 9/11. As it happened, a documentary crew was riding along with Battalion One filming the progression of a probationary firefighter assigned to the house that summer. On the morning of 9/11, the crew was out filming Engine Seven, Ladder One, and Battalion One on scene of a routine call of an odor of gas when the first plane hit the north tower.

On that day twenty years ago, the city of New York lost 2,192 civilians, 343 Firefighters, 71 Law Enforcement Officers. In Washington DC, 70 civilians, and 55 members of the armed forces where lost. And on the field in Stonycreek Township, 40 civilians where lost.
