Okay she's not great, she's my third attempt at any kind of photomanip, digital painting item. I'm not an artist never claimed to be but I like to figure things out and how things actually work so this is what I do when I'm left alone and need something to do.

Like I said though I KNOW she's far from a beauty but for a third attempt I was proud of it, even if it's scray to look at. But I kept picking at it and picking at it for the last couple of days since I couldn't get on the net for a day, and just decided what the hell,....she's based from a page of a clothing catalogue I had in my pile of magazines for card envelopes and not picked for any special reasons whatsoever she was just there when I started scanning them in.

The ugly attempt at the tattoo is the IDIC insignia, most star trek people would know that but I realize that it's pretty crappy so I thought I'd better point that out. and for basically the first attempt at the whole vulcan features I thought for an idiot she came across decent. Granted she appears a little more...well amiable for a vulcan....but then maybe it's that time of the seven year stretch.

Wouldn't matter if it's that part of the seven year stretch, because female Vulcans don't experience pon farr (just the males, remember?).

Nice work, though! I've done a TON of Vulcan/Romulan ear and eyebrow manipulations myself, but I've never posted them here. Beautiful work!

"because female Vulcans don't experience pon farr" -- Enterprise would disagree with you. T'Pol went through Pon Farr.

You know I was thinking that about the vulcan women, but at the moment I wasn't totally sure. Seems rather unfair but then atleast Amanda doesn't have to feel like she has to start her own support group for those seven years inbetween waiting for Sarek. I could understand that vulcan women would be able to tolerate it since it's natural for them but I wonder about poor amanda. although she always seems happy so maybe there's a great deal more about the vulcan men that doesn't show that makes them such a attractive mystery to the large portion of the women who are Spock fanatics.

Well, remember what Spock was saying in "The Cloud Minders!" Just because the males have an uncontrollable urge to mate every seven years doesn't mean they are incapable of mating any other time they want to. They DO have free wills, after all...

So Amanda isn't short-changed after all!

If it weren't for the IDIC "tattoo," I would say this is a picture of a Romulan woman (hence the smirk).

Thanks. I kept saving everything I did while working on her just knowing that at some point and time I would screw up or the computer would have a hiccup or any other general stupid thing that generally happens to me while working on something that is going the way I like! So I have a folder with 50-some different phases of what I was doing logged on to the computers.

Then it took me awhile to decide if I wanted to post her or not, but I guess I wanted to show that if Ican figure out how to do this anyone should be able to. My mom alwasy makes the comment if my kid can do it a jack rabbit can do it!! but I'm glad she came out enough to look like what i was hoping she would!

That's the way I work. I pretty much save after every pixel.

You use Twistedbrush? Is that any good?
