Description
Inspired by advertising styles and products from the 50's. Fantastic stuff. I just can't get enough of good old fashioned 'Bonox' and 'Odol', so now here's a product fresh from my own inventory, Powder Stuff. It's all purpose and for men only. What it does is anyones guess.Although this guy here looks pretty sincere, you can tell he's enjoying himself. And why not? He's holding Powder Stuff.

Yes, I had a reference, but didn't follow it too closely. The original guy was some actor from the 1940's.

Your shading here is awesome! And the stylizations on the man's figure to accentuate his expressions is a fine addition to it.

I never like to spend too long on my drawings. I suppose it took a few hours over all, most of it spent on his damned jacket, but I draw it in short sessions that sort of break up the process. Makes it less boring. Hooray.

i love this stuff. you've got great drawing skills, to back up great ideas. i like the bizarre and genericness of it all. its gotta be how old people remember this stuff. i can remember commercials from when i was a kid but not what they were advertising for so its been replaced with stuff.

there's something about the face that reminds me of that british 70's show 'yes, minister'.
i'm liking the 'all purpose'. think about it...you could eat it, sit on it, entertain your kids with it, bathe in it, have a romantic relationship with it, post it to enemies, read it on sunday afternoons.....
