Description I don't know why I didn't post this earlier. I've won several herp forum photo contests with this shot.

This is Vash on the first day I brought her home. She's a pastel ball python, which is a genetic morph.

This is a low res version of this shot.

Thanks. Sometimes breeding them is the only way to get the really neat ones you want...but can't afford.

yeah i reeeaaaally want to breed ball pythons, but since its such a hassle getting pets into canada and then back into the US (unless you want to fill out piles of paperwork and pay a ton of money each time)... it probably wont happen till i come back to the US for my masters/phd.

Thank you. Unforunately, most ball python morphs fade a bit as they grow older. Pastels often brown out as they grow older, but she's still one pretty snake

heh, sweet looking snake, i like the name Vash too. I love the colors pastels have when they are young-keep updating pics of her-she'll be a beauty.
my dude was pretty good at climbing the therm cord until he got too fat for it. hee

That is so precious-and such a gorgeous snake! Too bad she doesn't agree, though. Poor thing is hiding her face-or maybe she's just trying to demonstrate to all the Unknowing people out there just WHY her kind are called "BALL pythons" in the first place!

Well she'd been sitting out on display all day, put into a container, driven and then pulled out for a couple quick photos and then she got to go home

I seriously doubt I could get her back into that pose these days. She is the only snake I've ever had climb a thermostat cord.
