I don't know why I didn't post this earlier. I've won several herp forum photo contests with this shot.This is Vash on the first day I brought her home. She's a pastel ball python, which is a genetic morph.
This is a low res version of this shot.

i literally screamed with cuteness overload!! she is adorable. aww so tiny. i love how she balled up. with her nose tucked and her tail wrapped around. SO cute. she looks so innocent. low res picture or not, its still a superb shot!! congrats

Oh I love ball pythons. Have one myself and he's a really sweet heart. Name is JD and he is a normal phase but still a beautiful snake.

Gentic morph. Ok, the "normal" color of ball pythons is a dark brown. She's a pastel, which, in this case means she's got a lot of yellow, orange and a little brown. This color is genetic. If she is bred toa normal ball python, she will produce some pastel babies (that look like she does) and some that look like a normal ball python (dark brown).

You're welcome. Ball pythons I think are good beginner snakes but best for people who are really patient.
