I know you have critique discouraged, but I did want to offer a suggestion. If you put down on the whole wolf one color, (I personally like the PrismaColor Sand), it gives the other colors something to lie on and makes it look much more like fur. Also instead of outlining so heavily if shading is used on the paws. But hey, that's just how I do it, you don't have to take my advice cause your style is obviously your own.

Thanks for this tutorial, DeviantArt needs more tutorials like this. Do you first color the dark areas or do you first color the light areas then go to darker? Coloring and shading stuff is really complicated for me.

excellent question! (i really ought to add instructions on this sucker...) i start with the dark and work my way to the light. i prefer this method, though a good deal of art teachers and such will tell you not to do it this way, i think it blends better in the end, especially if you're working with gradient colours. as a rule, i always have three shades to work with, a dark, a medium, and a light. that should help some. you start with the dark and make it solid, slowly working it to less solid. then you start with the medium, blending it with the less solid of the dark and slowly work to a less solid medium, then the light blended with the less solid of the medium, slowly worked to a less solid light. hope that made some sense looking at the pic might help a little to visually figure it out
