Ignoring that Big Mac and Sugar Belle ended up being married, and have kids, I'll never understand how people ever thought this would ever be a thing.
Heck I don't think Fluttershy and Big Mac ever talked to each other. I could be wrong about that part. But the lack of anything to back this up still drives me nuts.

I am sorry if this offends Fluttermac fans, but I can't stand Fluttermac. It seems they were only put together because they look cute together. It also doesn't help that Fluttercord is my MLP OTP. If you are still are taking requests could you do a Fluttercord stamp if you haven't made one yet.

I think that's what makes it a good pairing, I think being around each other they will come out of their shells. Big Mac isn't that shy, but he's very quiet and soft-spoken, so I'd assume he would like a mare like Fluttershy.
But, Big Mac and Cheerilee never actually had feelings for each other? They were forced to love each other by the potion, weren't they?

Big Mac was shown to still like that smarty pants doll even when he wasn't hypnotized, why not the same with cheerilee? Plus Big Mac and cheerilee are seen together in the background sometimes, and there was the whole fainting thing in fille vanily. And I prefer fluttershy with someone more outspoken like rainbow dash or discord, because there would be a more defined seme and uke, whereas with fluttermac they're both ukes so neither would do anything.Β

Big Mac liking Smarty Pants, was just meant as a funny joke. He doesn't love the doll romantically or have real feelings for it. That would be creepy for a children's show... And just because Big Mac still "loved" the doll when he wasn't hypnotized doesn't mean the same is true for Cheerilee. Plus, many ponies are seen in the background. It doesn't have to hint anything romantic.
And I haven't watched Filli Vanilli since I only have Netflix available, so I can't give you an opinion on that. What happens there, I'm curious?

That's true, I agree that I think that episode made Big Mac and Cheerilee good friends. But what I'm still thinking is, despite this, my mind just doesn't see them as a couple. They just don't fit to me.
I just searched and found a free site to watch it on. I think that Cheerilee's fainting was meant as more of a running joke about that potion episode. I think the show wants to portray that the whole potion incident made them much closer together, but I still don't see anything that convinces me it's a romantic relationship.
