This picture reminds me of the movie with the whole Roger Rabbit effect going for it. Shifty's my favorite too, he's just so adorable. I'm practically obsessed with pairing him with Nutsy and I've actually written a couple M rated hurt/comfort fics pairing the two. They're pretty dark and intense and they're called Scars Are Forever and Intimate Healing. Both fics are on my Fanfiction.net (I'm also called CanzetYote there) and deviantArt pages.

Yes. Actually that's why I used a photo for the background. The movie used a lot of actual film of the bush with animation over the top of it.

I can understand why shifty would be popular. He's an underdog for starters. But he's also good natured and not as selfish as the others, perhaps even less so than Nutsy. In that sense I guess he's probably my favourite too.

It is very interesting discusion. I think Shifty isnΒ΄t popular. He have few fan they are only here. Siffty is greedy as other Dingoes. He has no positive qualities and is very weepy. Actually, such a small baby. It is the weakest link Blinky's gang and do not fit there. I think that was the better team five piece Blinky, Nutsy, Splodge, Flap and Marcia and against Dingoes as in the first series.

Yeah, that is a good point. Though in my case, it was more because I honestly found the Dingoes to be more interesting than Blinky and the others.

The dingoes just make me think of people on welfare. Doll bludgers. Try so hard to not have to go to work that they may as well just go and get jobs. Shifty seems to have become a good kid despite his upbringing. For the most part anyway I know he got caught up in more than a few of their schemes.
Not that I'm criticising people who don't work. I do know people who are just like what I said above. But I also know not everyone is on welfare by choice.

No, I get ya. And yeah, Shifty does seem to have gotten through alright in spite of the upbringing (I always suspected he was named "Shifty" for some tragic reason aside from "it sounds dingoish") and his own apparent admiration of/desire to be useful to his elder siblings.

Blink Bill was one of Australias best cartoon series. Nothing we've produced since has been quite as good.
