The originality of this piece, given the goth difference with the source... or darker implements, is most magical. It has taken truly a powerful spirit to look at the marble and redefine it. I find the difference very compelling and intense, very visually stimulating and therefore the vision is most applicable, most in tune with the first inspiration. I give both full five stars, as technique and impact, at least for me. It has made quite an impression on me, an impression of some impact as it livens my blood to see it, makes it start with such furious admiration. Yes, I give it full five stars in every particular.

Lol I was actually thinking about it when I saw your painting! I especially love the expressions and the realism of that sculpture.
Although your painting is especially creepy by the fact that we can only see the devil's hands embracing the woman's body (and pricking her with his nails), I am wondering, is he an incubus who attacked her in sleep to feed on her life force via sexual energy and reproduce or did he use his devilish power to seduce her while she was conscious? Is she perhaps too frightened to escape the embrace, is she welcoming his advances, or is she even not aware that he is actually there? The fact that I, and perhaps others, am even wanting to know the full story shows another strength in your painting. Again, thank you for sharing this with us
