I really hope you don't mind, but may I ask what type of machine you have, and where you bought it? I'm actually hoping to start going into plushie making myself, and my biggest hurdle atm is not having any idea where to start with buying an embroidery machine.Β
The sewing doesn't scare me (between the years of cosplay and amigurumi making, I'm quite familiar with patterns and tweaking them), but I'm clueless about embroidery machines. And I know embroidery can be done by hand, but it'll never look as smooth and nice as machine embroidery
Anyway, I hope you don't mind me asking, and any tips in that department would be very much appreciatedΒ

Oh right, well see you can't just take a machine and plug in a jpeg image and have it sew that, you have to "digitize" an image first, which means using seperate (and usually fairly expensive) software to basically program the embroidery pattern to tell the machine how to do it! It's something I didn't know myself at first, so I thought it might be useful to know, if you didn't already! ^.^ So basically, you have to think not only about the machine you want, but one that has usb input to make it a lot easier to embroider patterns you either make or buy! (I bought all my MLP related embroidery patterns on etsy, including the parasprite eye pattern you see here!)

Thanks! I'll definitely start looking into the outward part, then, cause I prefer to make stuff like that on my own (I mean, I make my own stained glass patterns, after all ^^ )

Its fun to make things on your own, but digitizing is very difficult! Expect to spent time learning the program. For me it was like learning photoshop all over again!
