Description
In response to several requests for a simple plush tutorial for beginners, here it is!If you do not own a sewing machine, you can still sew this by hand easily enough! For instructions on hand sewing, please see this tutorial -->
This will not take long for someone with a sewing machine (maybe an hour). For someone experienced at plush making, this will probably take only 20 minutes.

Here is one of the two dittos I made: Ditto Plushie It was a gift for my sister's birthday. ^^

What sewing machine do you use? I just bought a singer, but it sews waaay too fast to sew tiny things like plushies. Thank you!

heyo!
I have 3 machines- a Bernina, an Elna and a Singer. But see most machines go slower when you put less pressure on the pedal! Have you tried using a lighter touch on the pedal?
If it's just a fast machine, you will eventually become used to it! In my expereince the cheaper machines are slower. So my $150 Elna is fairly slow. might be a good place to start. But for very tiny things I often choose to sew by hand.

Ah, my pedal doesn't even register light pressure, it only goes two speed unu
But wow! 3 machines! I've come to love sewing by hand, but sometimes I just wanna see the final product already! oxo
Thank you~!

you can take a photo with a camera, and put the SD card in your computer to upload the file on deviantart? If you want.

I love this.
I used this tutorial to make my first plushie(not a ditto, sadly, but guess whats next on my list?). However is there anyway to make your pattern last longer?

scilk In reply to HealerKira [2013-10-08 22:19:48 +0000 UTC]
yaay!
Hmm well I suppose you could cut the pattern out of card, or maybe laminate it?
