Description ~One of the many beaches along Hwy 1 north of San Francisco. This is at Schoolhouse Beach in one of the hidden coves accessible only during low tide. I only had about twenty minutes to try and get some shots off as the tide was rapidly coming in. I had set my tripod on some rocks so it would be stable and not sink when the waves receded. I thought it was pretty cool to be timing the surf to get around back to the main beach. Exciting for someone who doesn't get to experience this kind stuff on a daily basis. Alot of the beaches along Hwy 1 are at the bottom of sheer cliffs, some only accessible when the tides are low, but what makes them unique are the abundance of jutting rocks and stones just like the ones I've photographed. These spots may be picturesque and all, but they do not come without dangers; caution and common sense should always take heed.
