I played ALL 3 games. However, everyone agrees Nuts and Bolts is LESS popular. I uphold to Banjo Kazooie and Banjo Tooie the best 2 games ever played in USA.
I also want Banjo and Kazooie to be part of the Super Smash bros. League for the next UPDATE.

I can't agree with that because there are still good games in the series. Β Maybe some day we can get another great game like the first and second banjo and kazooie. Β It is just really sad that nuts and bolts has to exist and be part of that series.

The main people are Rareware already left.
They formed their own company under the name of Playtonic Games and are working on a spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie currently titled: Project Ukulele.

OMG I GREW UP WITH THIS GAME TOO! Haha, I don't really remember. But I think we bought the first one, rented the second one, and then bought it later. I had the same experience as you! My brother and I rented it when we were little and absolutely loved it. We bought it years later to relive those good times. Same here! I think it was last summer my brother and I actually found the game and he bought it. Β He doesn't have a N64 Β right now, but hopefully he can get one so we can play that game again.
