Description Sequana-class, circa 202x.  The class underwent a second service life extension in the mid-Oughts; boiler and steam plant refurbishment, improved sensors and communications suite, all new electrical generation plant and new power cables, deletion of the portside aircraft lift, and improved crew amenities.  The improved sensor and communication suite also replaced all copper with 5x Gigabit multimode, multi-fibre bundles, which supports all sensors, tactical data systems, SATCOM, secure internet (SIPR) and nonsecure internet (NIPR), onboard television, and independent gaming server.

Typical airwing for the Sequana has remained around a maximum of 70 aircraft. A normal peacetime cruise airwing includes 12 F/A-18F Hornet fighters, 12 F-35C Lightning II fighters, 6 EF/A-18G Growlers, 4 each E-2 Hawkeyes and S-3 Vikings, 6 SH-101x Merlin ASW/SAR helicopters, and either 6 KQ-25 Stingrays, MQ-47D Pegasus, or 3 MQ-4C Trition drones.

Shown here is the LCNS Sequana with a representation of the airwing, circa 203x.  An additional 6 HH-47s are embarked to provide additional humanitarian airlift capability to assist the LNHS Dian Cécht in the Gulf of Tonkin, after Super Typhoon Roke slammed into the north central coast of Vietnam (local name Super Typhoon Sonca), after hitting Hainan (local name: Super Typhoon Mulan) and the central Philippine archepelago (local name Super Typhoon Talas).  LNHS Airmed is providing medical and humanitarian aid to Hainan, while two carrier groups centered around the Tafwys and AnBearú are assisting the US 7th Fleet in the Philippines.
