Hey, I just started with Apex after seeing you post and i have problem, I set almost everything just can't find where do I set specified dock to screen. I mean I want to have dock1 on screen 1 and when I swipe to screen2 dock sets itself to dock2. Could you help a little?

So basically, you want a different set of icons on each screen. To do this, you just disable the dock and place icons on the whatever screen you want. It's what I did to make the home screens above.
Just be sure to lower the vertical margin of your home screen to make icons appear in the same spot as icons in a dock.

I thought about the same but I can't find the option to hide the dock, here is my problem and great idea with those blank icons and wallpaper "buttons", I love it

There is a download button for the template on the right side of the page (a .psd file).

So, are there any other launchers this can work with? My android version isn't compatible with Apex.

I'm not sure. My best bet would be Holo Launcher.

Gimp is free so you can always try that. You can also use the trial of Photoshop.
There is no other way really...

so using gimp i got the images the way i wanted them to look but now im having trouble getting the wallpapers to change when i swipe screens and also designate each picture to its own screen. i was wondering if you could help me out with this

Scope10 In reply to benjewman92 [2013-02-07 18:47:03 +0000 UTC]
Sure.
Once you have a separate image for every screen you put them on your phone.
Now you need to install multipicture live wallpaper. ([link] )
After that change your wallpaper to the Multipicture live wallpaper one and go into the settings.
In the settings tap the "+" next to "add individual settings". You can now assign a specific wallpaper to each screen by tapping on the screen X settings.
Change the picture source into the one you want and you're good to go.
Hope this helped.

Scope10 In reply to tristan6100 [2012-11-20 12:12:45 +0000 UTC]
Well first you need to download the template and change it to your liking. Once set, save the image as a .png (so 4 different pictures) and put them on your phone.
See my reply to potsandpans24 below for further instructions.

In the .psd files, home is constantly highlighted in red, and the other text objects remain grey. What do D:

Just as a follow up, I'm using Gimp, and I worked with what I had and managed to get the home screen up and running ( [link] ). Past that, I'm a tad stumped since the words aren't text objects so I can't just change the font color.

Scope10 In reply to Duodecillian [2012-11-19 11:25:22 +0000 UTC]
I wouldn't know how to do it in Gimp since I use Photoshop.
In Photoshop they are text objects that you can easily change color of.
You'll have to find out how to do the same in Gimp since I have little to no experience with it.

Duodecillian In reply to Scope10 [2012-11-19 17:54:18 +0000 UTC]
Alright, I was looking into it and I found out that gimp can't edit the text of a .psd file (It treats it as a bitmap). So, to work around this I could just delete the text and type it in with gimp, I just need to know what font you used. If you don't remember, I can just try my best to find a fitting one, but thanks just for making these available in the first place.

I'm sorry to hear that but I guess that'll work.
The font I used is Roboto (thin, 60pt).

How do you install the live wallpaper? Sorry I am a noob to skinning a mobile device.

Scope10 In reply to potsandpans24 [2012-11-10 20:58:13 +0000 UTC]
Go to the google play store and download Multi Picture Live Wallpaper (see [link] ).
Once installed long press your homescreen and select "wallpaper" > "live wallpaper" > "Multi Picture Live Wallpaper" > "settings".
From here you can tell which picture you want for screen 1-5.
Once you've set everything press back and tap "set wallpaper".
Hope this helped.

Thanks, I get that part, but are all the images in that .psd file? Sorry the reason I want this so bad is it that 4/5 of those are some of my favorite anime lol. When opening up that .psd file it seems that it is just a basic template. Do I have to add my own custom images?

Scope10 In reply to potsandpans24 [2012-11-11 00:01:13 +0000 UTC]
I added a basic template without the anime because I thought nobody would want those.
They are images from where I made the background transparent so I could use them for backgrounds I made.
From now on the .psd file will include anime characters.
If you want different pictures just use your own.

is the menu system dictated by the apex launcher or paranoid android?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Scope10 In reply to shniderio [2012-10-25 21:13:40 +0000 UTC]
Neither really. It's the custom background that shows the menu and since apex supports 10x5 I can fit invisible homescreen shortcuts (Screen 1-4) on top of the text to make it work.
