[☆||Starling species info||☆]

Starlings are rare nighttime creatures whom hunt, perfectly unseen within the starry skies. Their voices echo the serenity of the night, and their eyes contain the essence of the stars. They are desired by many hunters, black market merchants, and royals because of their beauty, elegance, feathers, eyes, and bones. Their populations continue to dwindle because of growing cities and the destruction of their hunting grounds, making them almost myths in the eyes of avian biologists.

Appearance:

-Young:

Looks similar to small human child with small spots of down feathers on arms, legs, and head. Has long feathery ears. No special markings until adolescence , fledgling colors range from shades of black to shades of brown.

-Adult:

Color range Black, Black, brown, Purple, blue, (Rare variations: Pink, green, white).

Females usually have lighter hues while Males have darker shades.

    They have long feathery ears, with wing-like arms, their hands are hidden under layer of feathers. Their wings are covered with light, iridescent speckles that shine like small stars, on their shoulders, down feathers grow from their skin, merging within their main wings.

On their feet there are 3 talons that help them grasp sleeping prey and gather stardust. Their hair consists of down feathers and regular feathers that bristles and flatten to display different emotions.

Clothing

Fallen baby feathers from their fledgling years are woven into clothing, creating a silky, light fabric that is unique to each starling. They decorate themselves with beautiful handicrafts they create from compressed stardust, such as necklaces, earring, headpieces , bracelets, belts and other adornments.

Feeding habits☆

They prey on small, diurnal species and stardust for most of their diet and eat the species of moon flowers as treats. When you look up into the sky and see stars that are moving faster than others, it may just be a Starling flying over head. When hunting for falling stars, meteorites, or comets, they tuck their wings in and dive into the trail these objects leave behind. The dust gathers in their hair and wings, where they can nibble on later, or they can use their talons to catch bundles of stardust for a short time(Only experienced starlings can do this).
