Wow, this is a great idea! I never saw a star trail image from a windowΒ  (And I couldn't do it. Light pollution would ruin it, but first of all, the big pine tree in front of my window blocks four fifths of the sky )

It is said that air got so clean here over Europe that you can clearly see the files uploaded to the cloud

But yes, this situation is helping astro photography. Even the planes are fewer and we don't get all those "blinking lines" on every imageβ€”but satellites may still appear Nevertheless here the main problem is the city lights. We always have some haze or mist up there and while one cannot see that with bare eyes, star photography suffers from that as an orange "veil" appears on the long exposures...
