Description Yaaay, me make a pixel tree
I'm still not very happy with the trunk, though...

Please Critique. I want to know what I should do better!

First off, I'm no pixel expert, so keep that in mind e.deviantart.net/emoticons/g/g… " width="17" height="15" alt="" title="Giggle"/>

First off, I had a look at the tutorial you referenced and I think that you did a brilliant job learning from it, and in my opinion, improving on it's ideas. The dithering used here is really nice, I particularly like the little circle bits, it seems to add to the leaf-like effect although I myself am not sure how this is logical XD

As for the trunk, I think I can see what you mean about it falling a little short in comparison to the greenery. Perhaps I would suggest reshaping the trunk itself, since I think that is more likely to make the most difference, and also, if you were interested in looking an alternative tutorial, I recently stumbled accross this one; [link]

I realise that one is something in quite a different style, but you never know, by looking at something different you might find an inspiration to remake this one more to your liking ^-^

I don't know much about pallets and numbers of colours, accept that few colours is preferred XD But I'd say from a purely aesthetic level, that the colours and shadows are very pleasing to the eye : ]

Overall, a very very well pixelled tree, and a good example of great dithering e.deviantart.net/emoticons/c/c… " width="20" height="20" alt="" title="Clap"/>

Thank you!
Though I dont think I'm going to redo this piece... I'm more into Emoting instead of pixel art. This tree was just practising with pixel art.
But I will keep this style of dithering in mind for when I need it.

Yeah, I realise that, although I thought you might like a critique for it all the same ^w^
Definitely, it would be good to see it in other things

Well, there is the ultimate dithering challenge of rainbows >.> hehe, but that's just me I find them incredibly difficult XD

Um, I dunno really, but I love seeing things like this [link] , praps a moon or something, moon's sometimes have cool dithering on them

I don't really know to be honest, I'm just thinking of random things
