Description
So SPG is supposed to be having a contest soon with making your own fanbot for a chance at a year's subscription to being an Engineer-eteer. The prize doesn't matter much to me as I'd been trying to conceptualize what my fanbot would have looked like since I'd thought about making a cosplay as one. I guess I'll call her Scorpy for lack of anything else I can think of since that was one of my old RPG usernames.Originally when I thought I'd be able to attend Anime Midwest, I immediately wanted to cosplay Steampunk. I had decided I wanted to do a bit of a mismatch with some Victorian lady-esque style and some scientist style and it would have looked something like this. I based the skirt on the Empyrian skirt from the Pyramid Collection and the jacket from Google searches on Victorian women's jacket.
The little silver loop seen behind her neck is one of two winding devices on her in order to keep her gears running (she doesn't have a power core like the SPG bots). A large on one her back is what allows her to move and the one on her neck winds the smaller gears in her throat that allow her to speak. If that's not wound, she makes an annoying clicking sound as her gears refuse to move.
The gear on her hat is one that she lost and never bothered to replace. She keeps it on her hat to proudly display it. The gear and the wrench in her hand are also supposed to represent her purpose as a robotic mechanic who was created to help her master fix his inventions whenever they broke.
I had no idea how to make auburn hair. I ended up starting with a base of sienna brown, layering a little metallic gold on top, then finishing with a scarlet to give it the orange cast. I added in the teal on her clothes and the gold on her face in order to avoid her becoming entirely monochromatic which I've noticed I have a tendency to do in pictures. Her color scheme is supposed to be pewter, black, and teal.
Also not happy with her left arm, but every attempt at making it match the right one in terms of width kept failing.

Hello there!
My name is Metronome Marionette.
I am trying to make a group for Steam Powered Giraffe Fans with Fan bots and Fan engineers!
I've already requested of your fan bot here and an engineer you dressed up as to be in the gallery!
thanks for accepting!!
I was wondering if you would be willing to join the group!
Its focused on meeting more SPG fans and connecting with fan made characters!
I am hoping to encourage roleplay between the bots and engineers.
There are also folders to display
Fan art
Fan comics
and SPG geared Commission sheets!
And I am always open to suggestions to improve the group!
Thank you for hearing me out! Its all up to you now~

There is a ton of steampunk at Gencon in Indianapolis every August. This year i'm thinking i'll cosplay from League of Legends...you should definitely try to cosplay this! It'd be awesome! And i love you have the details on her makeup already.

Thanks! I think I may update the face/makeup at some point. I actually put way more thought into her outfit than into her face.
I'm half tempted to risk my graduate adviser's wrath and go anyway even though it's only 10 days before the ASEV-Eastern Section conference in North Carolina.
