Description
So here you can see some of my newest redesigned engines, which include Thomas, Edward, Henry, Gordon, James and Percy. I gave them all a more realistic look by basing them on a mix between TV-series RW-series and real life counterpart. Furthermore I invented a new boiler design to have a better looking boiler for Gordon and Henry. All of the numbers on the side are brick-builtRelated content

so amazing. its not often you get to see a line up like this ~
oh and Percy! he looks cute in lego.
it is odd seeing their faces black - have you tried a white circule?

Ha, thanks Well I tried to imitate the Rev. W. Awdry's models, which had no faces as well. Also it looks more like real engine that was
I think they wouldn't look good, with white dishes but without faces. Either I give them a smokebox door or a real face

Yeah they look interesting with black faces, like an engine that's been painted
You've done a great job

Exactly! I wanted them to look like real engines, but with the "correct" colour scheme Β

and you have done a wonderful job
have you tried to make one for real? (Percy would be a good test since hes small).
the Lego website lets you buy individual bricks for like 6p

Absolutely fantastic. May I ask what you used to render this in?

Thanks! Though I have to say that the chassis isn't my design. I copied Carl Greatrix's LNER A4 model and found a new technique to build a boiler, which I wanted to use. So I made an LNER A3 and rebuilt it as Gordon. So the Gordon's chassis and cab aren't my design, only the boiler, footplate and tender are.

The A4 is Mallard and Spencer's class. That was an A3,
Thanks.

That Percy model is undoubtedly the best Lego Percy I've ever seen, really does look like the actual character, the same goes with the rest of the other characters. By the way, as you seem to be pretty great when it comes to lining on engines, could you assist me with one of my models? I've been trying to add lining to Skarloey's cab, except it isn't working all that well and leaves a gap.

Thanks! Though I think Percy still is a little bit too squashed
I'm not a Lego purist, but still I like to do the lining with bricks, rather than stickers (although I think stickers would look much better).
I'd be happy to help, just message me what you're stuck on (how you want the lining to be,...)Β
