Description
I took this the other day, like most days i sit out gazing at the clouds.. wondering what the weather is like where my horses are.. god how i miss being with them every day.. one day soon i will have this darn OP and will get my life back and be with them all day every day like i should be.. i miss them far too much. This was a cumulonimbus [storm cloud, haha bet you didnt know that one!] that passed by.. about two hours later there was a bit of rain but the storm its self was about 4 miles away.
Ive got no idea if its decent storm photo or not.. but i felt i was neglecting DA quite a bit seeing as ive got a huge art block at the moment.. Apologies its not anything horsey based, but hope you like it anyway?
Im not too impressed with the quality.. im certain i shot it through the window by accident.. none of my other photos are this terrible in quality so im hoping thats the case!
I also posted this as i need something new in my 'non-equine photography' category, all the work in there is rea~allyy old
I really like the colour contrasts, the deep sky, and the really angry undertone of the cloud. This wasnt even half of it, It had an angry base full of lightening and rain.
This was taken with my Canon 400D and my 70-300mm lens, I then swapped to a smaller lens as this was too big for the closeness of the storm

cumulonimbus <- ha, I knew that word Youre right, the quality /could/ be better, but its still an excellent shot x Its got so much depth, and I love the shadows underneath x

I miss seeing regular storm formations in Summer like this...Guess the climate here is different than it was 7 or so years ago, much drier indeed cool photo though, theres nice variations in colour and contrast

it's still really really cool looking even if it isn't horse-ish.
The contrast between white and dark cloud is pretty awesome too!
I'm not a photographer...so there isn't any critique that I can offer that will be useful. sorry about that.
