The nose look not right, but it's completely identicle to the link. Gah I'm sure the photographer was at fault here. >.< (No offense to the photographer)

thanks, lots of time! Shade in between the hair and negative drawing. Use a paintbrush and blend. Lots of layers!

thanks! Lots of time. Drawing in the dark and the bright light. Glasses on and off. Drawing sideways and upside down You notice things a bit more when you change the scenery.

..... 250 hours you spent on this?
*dies*
I spent about 151 hours on my last color portrait but....wow, in no way does it even compare to this in quality and skill--it can't! lol But this exceptionally incredible portrait you have here does give me hope that maybe if I put even more of my mind to it I might be able to get better at realism.
Your gift is amazing and I know all who take the time to look at and appreciate what you share with everyone will no doubt be blessed. This really is a moving piece...at least for me anyway. God bless!

thanks! Well I never thought I would improve as I increased the time spent on it but it happened I think. I would say that generally 85-90 percent of the time it is obvious on the amount of time an artist puts into it. Sometimes I don't believe it when an artist says 40 hours for something that looked like it took 200. Maybe it is just me but I am a slow poke when it comes to drawings. But when we draw that slow, we should be allowed to be picky on our reference Thanks for the good words.
