Description *EDIT* I'm almost positive that it's a Canyon Tree-Frog. It matches the description perfectly (with the exception of the white color). The spot pattern and the yellow on the inner side of the rear legs are also indicative of a Canyon Tree-Frog. As are the webbed rear feet. A cool little frog.

I was surprised to find this little critter in my plants this evening. It's about two inches long.

I'm not sure exactly what it is. I'm wondering if it's a Colorado River Toad with partial albinism.

I'm not a big fan of Colorado River Toads. They are poisonous and can kill an adult dog.

People actually "milk" this substance from the toad and then smoke it. It contains at least two potent hallucinogenic chemicals which are illegal to posses in many countries.

I haul many of them away every year so my doggy doesn't try to eat one. I relocate them to a small wash 3 miles away.

If you think this may be something else, please drop me a note! =]

That's so cool.
Frogs have always freaked me out and amazed me.

Australia has a problem with Cane Toads.
I'm not sure exactly what they do, but everyone says they're bad.
They've only just become a problem in the Weastern parts of Australia recently.

. . . I've never seen one. Lol.

Cane Toads are similar to the Colorado River Toads that live here. They both have the same hallucinogenic chemical that some people harvest and use but the Cane Toad also has other deadly toxins. This is what makes it such a bad problem. The natural predators in Australia don't know not to eat it and then die as a result of trying. =[

Those silly hungry animals.

You know more about Australia than I do, and I live here!

Then again I never really took history in school,
And my learning interests lie more towards the European area of the world.

Yeah! He was very cooperative. I took several flash shots and got pretty close before he hopped away.

Great shot man. It's not a toad(toads have claws), It's a regular old leopard frog that just molted. Great eye and quite a find in your neck of the woods

I learned a new thing. I had no idea that frog molted. I think this guy is a Canyon tree frog. It has similar markings and also has the yellow on the inner legs. Plus he was pretty small. No longer than 2 inches.
