*The one who was responsible for the death of David Hyde's father was Namor. However, who killed his father was never known by David. All he knew is that it was the King of the Sea, so David assumed it was Aquaman. David had spent his life training, creating weapons and a suit he can use underwater, and tracking down his father's killer. The day had finally come where David, now Black Manta, would finally get the chance to avenge his father's death. However, thats when he learned that Aquaman had nothing to do with the death of Manta's father. Thats when Manta started connecting the dots, and found that Namor was the one who killed his father. A fought broke out between the two, and although Namor seemed to have advantage, Manta's tech and skill and Namor's own ego where what proved to be the Submariner's downfall*
