Mewtwo had fled to the Unova region to avoid Team Rocket. Along the way, he meant N, and the two became partners. Mewtwo had a chance encounter with a Gardevoir who was viewing him from afar. She had never seen anything like Mewtwo before and wanted to see him up close. Mewtwo felt a faint interest in Gardevoir, and the two became close friends. The two began to form a strong bond, and eventually became lovers. Gardevoir would join Mewtwo's cause to help reform Unova into a peaceful region for Humans and Pokemon alike.
