there are also 3 main Dwarf Races of Mountain, Woodland and Gothic forms. the dwarfs are generally less differentiated then the Orc races are all having a stout but firm build due to hours of hard work ingrained into their DNA.

the Mountain Dwarfs are the main race of dwarfs. they prefer to live in mild seclusion high up in the mountain regions of the world, here they work on crafts. farm and live in relative piece trading with daring humans and sometimes the orcs. mountain life is typically very tough but occasionally mundane to some. they live in buildings made of stone and wood perched up on the mountain sides and farm down in the valleys.

of these characters the first one is one of the main characters from my group. a roque who got bored and started causing trouble eventually being kicked out of the mountains. he has a tiny dragon partner who helps him to ""find"" precious items. the second is a general dwarfen woman...

the Woodland Dwarfs are the descendants of a recently disbanded group of dwarfs who wanted an easier lifestyle, moving down from the mountains of their ancestors to live around the edge of the woodlands and grasslands. their lifestyle is much less physically demanding so they tend to have a leaner build and have also started trending to being the tallest of the races.

of these characters the first one is of a hunter with a crossbow. and the other is a younger woman who has a generally lighter shade of hair then most dwarfs of any race.

the Gothic Dwarfs live a similar lifestyle to the mountain dwarfs except they have moved out and live within a series of castles build on islands connected by tunnels. this race of dwarfs have taken up the concept of magic more so then the other races to help pass the time. they often trade with the sea faring humans and even the elves from time to time.

of these characters the first one is a a tunneler, one of the dwarfs tasked with digging tunnels to new islands that can be colonized. the second is a young teen enjoying a magic trinket that can play sounds. basically a magic ipod XD
