Window too small. It has to be '64 or earlier but you are really close. Though it does seem to have incorrect panel switches as is the radio. They are from a later model.1968 or later. My goodness why would they put modern wipers on a Beetle? I could tell you more but there is a girl in the way LOL but at least she is easy on the eyes. For the sake of originality, I believe the green hue is not. I am also thinking the spider web, birds, and angel wings are also after market. I can't tell about the headlights being original as I cannot see from this vantage point (the car or her).

Awesome! Do you know when it was manufactured? Volkswagen had a bad habit of letting their supply exhaust of previous year's parts before they released the subsequent year. Sometimes titles get inadvertently changed when exchanged to new owners. If your VIN is between 115000001-115999000, it is a '65. Β It is the first year they actually went you can actually tell the specific year by a specific digit of a VIN. In this case the third digit. If the VIN falls between 5677119-6502399 it is a '64. This was the last year it was a strict sequence number ie 5677118 would have been a '63. Cool ha? One big exception: Overseas tend to be a model year earlier. US got the leftovers lol.
Shitbox? I know you mean that with a sense of adoration, She like you are outstanding. A Mishmash of interesting and unique bits to make a truly one of a kind elegance. Is there a reason or symbolism as to why you did not use the driver side? Ease of posing? Or is it symbolic of subject's restless waiting for the driver?
Lastly, I have pictures I did way back when with a model and my '63 and my '68. The model was in no way as exquisite as you nor my ability as a photographer is any comparison to Scott's; however, maybe you may wish to see them? If so Note me.Β
Either way fun conversing with all of you and if anyone wants to talk about this outstanding photography, cars (especially old beetles), or anything else, hit me up. I am a gabber.

I think the headlights are stock, but the knobs are after market.

It's weird how I'm sure the girl and the car probably have a lot in common. They are both beautiful and have their own feature to admire.

I must agree; however, it makes me think - I know beetles can be maintenance intensive. Is she?

Great pose - not the ordinary, with the angle makes a terrifically interesting shot. More Cherry Pye please...
